Baby Animal Day

Today in Aidan's preschool class it was baby animal day! Mrs. McDonnell was kind enough to invite Owen to join in the fun. Diane (Bates) Prescott, whose son Jaedon is in Aidan's class, brought baby chicks, ducklings and bunnies. Lots of fun!

Walking With Dinosaurs

I took Aidan to see Walking With Dinosaurs in Spokane this week. It was pretty spectacular and he loved it. The only questionable part for him was in the opening scene two baby dinosaurs hatch and one gets eaten by a carnivorous dinosaur. Aidan wanted to know why the “mama was carrying the baby in her mouth.” Luckily the lights dimmed and I didn’t have to answer the question! Owen is a sometimes sensitive soul who gets nervous around the tiger mascot at his uncles’ basketball games, so I left him at Aunt Marlee’s house to play. But the next day the three of us spent the morning at Cabela’s, jeans and swim trunks shopping at the mall and a lovely brunch together. It was a great Mom and Boys trip.
